This cold snap may have us piling on the winter woollies, but we will not let it dampen our culinary adventure.
We have put together a list of three delicious places that will warm you right up.

Chocolate guru, Steven ter Horst, recently named by Gourmet Traveller as one of Australia’s leading chocolate retailers and craftspeople, has returned to the eastern suburbs to open his flagship store amid the King William Road renovations in Hyde Park. With a plethora of new products to taste, the chocolatier is celebrating his return by giving away hot chocolate. And it’s not just any hot chocolate, but the real European-style deal, using couverture. The unique flavours of Hazelnut Praline, Kashmiri Chilli, Mint, London Fog and Spanish Spices will blow you away. This Saturday, 17 August, Steven invites everyone to Free Hot Chocolate Day at Shop 4/185 King William Road Hyde Park. See you there.

On Level 1 of Rundle Mall Plaza in the city you’ll find a collection of new eateries. Among them is Clio Café where you can enjoy a warming collection of enticing sweet treats baked on premises, a menu of freshly prepared dishes to spice up your day or just a morning coffee. Treat yourself to their popular 100 per cent beef sliders and hand-cut chips or indulge in their freshly baked banana bread. You won’t be disappointed.

Finish off a bracing winter beach walk at Glenelg with a visit to The Greens Sandwich Bar and Café. This welcoming space is ecofriendly and works with local merchants to deliver fresh and delicious bites. They use Vittoria Organic Blend beans, who donate $1 from every bag sold to Ozharvest. Enjoy a coffee alongside a serve of their popular buttermilk pancakes, topped with berry compote, Canadian maple syrup and whipped cream. A one-of- a-kind experience to warm you up from the inside out.
